Good morning,
The past two weeks have been eventful. I’ve started a new job in software engineering for a small FinTech startup, something I wanted to do after doing a hackathon last year. And I’ve joined On Deck’s Catalyst Scouts program, so I’m helping source founders for their ODX accelerator. Somebody impersonated me on Twitter, accusing me of being a scammer. Thank you to all friends who reported the imposter. And I got Covid! The symptoms lasted only a day, raw eggs and saltwater helped me conquer it with ease.

“Sort your shit out”, I said to my friend. He agreed, he needed to sort his shit out. But who was I to give that advice? I was offering advice that I don’t take myself, you may know this feeling. My house isn’t in order, or, I haven't sorted my shit.
Life is like walking on a tightrope. At any moment something can come out of nowhere and cause you to fall off. The less your shit is sorted, the greater the fall. Discipline makes for shallow falls.
Looking at my friend Manish, he publishes every Saturday without failure (his humility means he’ll not enjoy being used as an example!). Reading his newsletter you can see the discipline that he applies to his life. I’ve been lacking in that. And he’s inspired me.
I’m starting by lifting weights at least 3x a week. And nothing will get in the way of that. Health is wealth. I’m walking twice a day with no stimulation, that time with myself will help my headspace. I’m also intermittent fasting - saltwater and raw eggs are all I need in the morning. I’m back publishing this newsletter. Writing is an excellent habit and I’m supporting it by also reading for at least thirty minutes every day.
If you’ve found yourself overwhelmed or disorganized, I suggest you stop and take a think. Is there anything you can do that’ll have compounding benefits? Whatever it is, it could be what softens the fall.

😵💫📚 Nineteen Eighty-Four - George Orwell. A mind-bending dystopian novel. Orwell was an exceptional writer and very forward-thinking of how modern life would look… in North Korea. Anyone who compares anything in the West to 1984 hasn’t read the book.
“After six days of this, when the great orgasm was quivering to its climax and the general hatred of Eurasia had boiled up into such delirium that if the crowd could have got their hands on the two thousand Eurasian war criminals who were to be publicly hanged on the last day of the proceedings, they would unquestionably have torn them to pieces.“
🧘😇 The Evolutionary Angel - Tim Ferriss. This is an old podcast, but it’s a 🐐 episode. Tim talks to Naval Ravikant, who if you haven’t heard of, you should check out. In this episode, they talk philosophy, investing, meditation, happiness and much more.
Spider-Man 1994 - Disney+. After watching No Way Home, I wanted a Spider-Man binge. I remember watching this and enjoying it as a kid. And now that I’m older, I appreciate it even more.
Way to go bro... Gotto sort out my shit too (there always is 🤦🏼).. Thanks for the reminder 👍🏻
